For almost 13 years, Housebuild.com has been providing homeowners and construction professionals with regulations, inspiration and materials across Ireland & the UK.
Challenge
Despite very strong traffic and good engagement, the business owners wanted to establish a commercial strategy that would allow them to take advantage of this traffic and monetize the site more effectively.
Strategy
As part of our Business Audit, we conducted in-depth interviews with users and industry professionals to understand what they wanted from the platform.
We also worked closely with the team to understand the history and future of the brand.
In the end it became clear that the business should focus on its power customers - the construction professionals who needed the service and would pay a subscription.
Final Result
In order to appeal to professionals we had a 3 pronged strategy:
1. Re-brand and website re-org to make it clear who the customer was, with a new pricing model.
2. We introduced Mason - a new AI-powered assistant to help customers find the information they needed, faster and more accurately.
3. A new mobile app to ensure customers had access to the right regulations and information while in the field.
These measures were successful resulting in substantial increases in traffic, users and revenue.
